The latest result from the Gallup’s World Affairs survey seems to suggest that at least 1% of all Americans feel that India is the leading economic power in the world today.

Here are a few facts from the survey:

  1. A majority of the participants thought US and China are the leading economic superpowers of today.
  2. 4% of the total respondents believe that India will be the largest superpower 20 years from now.
  3. Since this survey has been initiated, around 1% to 2% of respondents have said India is an economic superpower in the current scenario.
  4. In terms of 20 years hence, 1% of Americans in 2000 thought India will dominate. The number now stands at 4% today.
